We Survived

We made it through my first full week at work! Carter started going to a babysitter in the afternoon and Ryan got the hard job of drop-off. The first day he admitted it was hard but says he didn't cry (and Carter didn't either).

On Thursday we had a meeting at work after hours so that was an exceptionally long day. I had Ryan request that day off so it was also Ryan's first full day alone with Carter. Ryan does a good job taking care of our little man and I'm thankful that they're able to have that time together to bond.

The hardest part of working full-time is that I feel like I don't get much time with Carter while he's actually awake. He falls asleep in the car on the ride home and has even stayed asleep for the night. The awake time I've gotten at night has basically been spent feeding or bathing him. I get the task of putting Carter to bed while Ryan gets him in the morning when he's a lot more cheerful and smiley! I'm jealous of Ryan's time but it just makes me cherish all of my moments with Carter that much more! Besides, I've got something Ryan doesn't...the food supply!
